A few weeks ago, we spent a few days with my parents, about 1,000 miles away. In three days we redecorated their living room, dining room and office. It was a really big job and Mom still has some work to do, but I think it turned out pretty well. I’ll be posting about it when she sends the “After” pictures that I never got a chance to take.
Then, last weekend, I traveled about 2,000 miles to stay with my awesome sister and her wonderful baby. She took me to Hobby Lobby (oh, I miss Hobby Lobby) and even gave me her 40% off coupon. I got some pretty cute stuff for the dollhouse that I will share if I ever get back to work on the thing.
While I was away, my husband was flipping through the Anthropologie catalog that came in the mail (I think he may love Anthro even more than I do), and he fell in love with a new loveseat they have (still isn’t on their website yet).
Obviously, $4,000 is a little much. But, believe it or not, inspired by my attempt to make my own dollhouse sofas he said, “How hard can making a real sofa be?” I would guess pretty stinking hard. Good thing he is an engineer. And very concerned with quality. I guess we’ll see, because he really seems serious about it. We have a few other projects to tackle first, but I will surely keep everyone posted on that project when it starts.
For now, I need have a lot of work to get done. I plan on posting regularly again next week, when I actually have things to post about again.
