I know, I'm several months behind on this one, but I just discovered Nesting Place's
And I am excited about it. It's 31 ways to use/repurpose/remake things you probably already have. Day 2 was about reusing dressers with missing drawers and it reminded me of our living room media cabinet. Originally, the one I really wanted for the living room cost more than I wanted to spend, so I whined and complained for a couple months before deciding to just save up for it. By then, it was too late, and they didn't sell it anymore. So I headed to Craigslist and found this not-so-pretty thing:![]() |
| This was the listing photo, unfortunately it's the only "Before" I have. |
So I removed the pulls and handles, filled the holes, sanded, primed and painted it white. Now, this sideboard wasn't already missing a drawer, but I did remove the top one and replace it with plywood so we would have a spot for the TV components that needed remotes.

| And I painted the inside red, because it's just more fun that way. |

Totally gorgeous! I love this idea. And the red makes it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, man. Yeah, without the red, I think it'd be a little too sweet.
