Update: This was a progress post, to see the finished office, click here.
It was supposed to be repainted by today! Unfortunately, this also means no overhead lighting for me unless we are going to remove the ceiling as well and I really don’t like the thought of that.
Instead of showing you progress like I hoped for, I’ll just be brave now and share some photos of the space as it currently is.
Until late last week, I had been working on a tiny little drop leaf table. Then I stole hubby’s desk. Okay, I didn’t steal it, I asked. He got a better deal anyway, I just had to replace it before he got back to finish his work day from his home office. But this desk is so big! I can fit all of my junk materials on it and still have room to work.
This is my big, wonderful, beautiful bed that I’ve mentioned before. But, unfortunately, a twin size bed isn’t ideal when you have couples coming to stay with you. So the bed will be moved out and replaced with a little sofa bed.
Ugh, those tubs in front of the bed and several that are under it all contain fabric. Anyone know of a space-efficient way to store loads of fabric in a non-ugly way?
Can’t wait to have this stuff organized and looking good.
I love my new wide-angle lens. Even though it’s only currently capturing a giant mess. The poor dollhouse has survived a couple earthquakes and a little hurricane of a girl who shall remain nameless. Hubby graciously agreed to share his office space with the dollhouse, so that will be out of here too.
And there’s the chandelier that was going to be repainted turquoise. Hopefully we’ll find another home for it.
We currently have every piece of furniture that can store things jammed in here because otherwise all my stuff would be on the floor. Permanent and pretty storage in this room will be quite a challenge.
So that’s where I am today. Wish I had something pretty or clever to share with you. Hopefully very soon we’ll get to show you some progress! It’s been so long since I’ve tried to make such a small room serve so many functions, anyone have any tips or advice?
