Okay, it’s not quite that many. But it feels like it.
You may or may not know that I have an Etsy shop. A few years ago, I made myself some jewelry holders from thrift shop picture frames. Making them was really fun and I wanted to make more. So I did. And I sold them in my Etsy shop.
My product line expanded to include cork boards, dry erase boards, key holders and trays, all made from picture frames.
At some point though, continuing to make (and attempting to market) them became more like work and less like fun, and I stopped making new products. I just couldn’t find the time for it anymore.
So that phase of my Etsy shop will be shutting down. I was planning on using up all the empty frames and turning them into products, but I just don’t have the time. I have a few products left for sale, and a few products still on my shelf that I haven’t listed yet, so I will post those and once they sell, it will be the end of my revamped-thrift-store-picture-frame-shop.
(I must say, however, the Etsy shop will not close, it will just be empty for a while as I consider a total change in direction for it. Of course, I’ll keep you posted.)
In the mean time, what on earth do I do with all this inventory? Anybody want approximately 900 empty picture frames?
