Busy, busy, let’s talk later

I’ve been working on so many things lately.  Too many things at once, in fact.  So I don’t have really have any completed projects to share.  I would love to spend some time working on the dollhouse again, but I can’t find the time right now, and I don’t see it happening at all this week.  After seeing this kitchen, I am ashamed, and need to remodel mine ASAP.

Also really want to put legs on the bottom of the dollhouse now:

A friend requested one of my chandeliers for his entry way, and I was working on that over the weekend.  FYI: if you get hot glue on your skin and it burns, don’t try to get it off immediately…you will rip off more than glue.  So there was a small tantrum and a couple beers, and that project was put on hold until my hand heals.

Another friend is moving, so I have been helping her pack up and sell things (mostly by walking around her house and “shopping”).  A number of those things will be going into my Etsy shop soon (the ones I don’t keep for myself): vintage cameras, housewares and even a couple beaded handbags from the 20s or 30s!  Check back soon and I’ll post about them.

I actually started AND finished a couple small projects inspired by my favorite Pinterest finds.  It feels so good to actually do something with the Pinterest inspiration after all the time I’ve wasted spent just looking and pinning.

Wrapped iPhone headset.
Baby friendly fabric necklace for my sister.

The headset was so easy, although I did have to look up instructions because I couldn’t remember how to make a frienship bracelet, it’s been many years…  The necklace is from an old t-shirt, just cut into strips, braided a section and stitched over the ends with the sewing machine.  Something to keep the baby busy while she’s holding him and it won’t hurt her or damage the necklace when he pulls as hard as he can.

Of course, I’ve also been spending time with this hansome guy who will do anything for a little piece of jerky.

even wait and wait and wait

Promise I’ll post about a real project soon!  🙂

It can all be a little overwhelming sometimes, can’t it!! Having a blog definately helps me get things done…otherwise I’d have nothing to post about!! 🙂

Thanks for pinning my pallet gallery/bookshelf…i don’t mind in the least!!

Hi, I’m Christina.

Little Victorian is your place for inspiration, education, and encouragement for how to be your own interior designer and decorator, and how to carry out your big plans yourself too.

It starts with psychology, then artistry, and ends with power tools. None of those are scary, and you really can do it.
