Slow going

Way back on December 1st, I ordered a toilet, fridge, oven and dartboard.  Even though they were all in stock, and shipped Priority, I didn’t get them until yesterday.  But still, I was so excited to get them and tore into the box.  They suck.  All of them.  The fridge and stove are HUGE, and now I have to add height to my cabinets to match.  And the toilet couldn’t be more crooked.

And the dartboard is so stupid.  It’s a very simple dartboard picture glued onto super thin cork.  Not only is it glued on crooked and hanging over the edge, but the darts are over an inch and a half long (which means, in real life, it would be an 18 inch dart).  It just looks ridiculous.

Anyway, I’m in the middle of building half walls for the upstairs.  And there is still no flooring on the 1st floor, so I’m just going to slap some paint down for now.  I also decided this morning to have a dining room.  Hopefully I can get all that stuff together.

I did make a bathtub.  It needs some work, but it will do for now.  And made some benches today.

The fur one is pretty hideous, but there is nothing else unique in the house, so it’s going at the foot of the bed and I’ll see if I can make it work.  🙂

Have to get back to work, but I’ll post again when I get something accomplished.

Hi, I’m Christina.

Little Victorian is your place for inspiration, education, and encouragement for how to be your own interior designer and decorator, and how to carry out your big plans yourself too.

It starts with psychology, then artistry, and ends with power tools. None of those are scary, and you really can do it.
