Sofa and chair combinations for a small living room

My parents are currently looking for a new sofa and chairs for their living room.  They live in a 1920s Bungalow with a combination of traditional and contemporary decor.

They also have a fairly small living room and with the layout, the sofa needs to be floated with room to walk around on all sides.  So, the length of the sofa is limited.  Here are 4 sofa and chair options.  All of these pieces are available in different colors (and available in your area, Mom).

Another option is to change up the floor plan a little and put two loveseats facing each other, perpendicular to the television.

Here is a more traditional option with a tufted sofa (mmm…tufting) and two accent chairs.

But, since Mom really loves modern, funky furniture, I saved the best for last:

By the way, that last silver sofa is a sleeper.  And it’s awesome.  Go check it out.

I wouldn’t have thought it to be possible but I really like the white tuffted sofa. I thought I like only modern looking ones. The chairs on the last one are freaky 🙂

That’s interesting! I’m crazy over tufting for some reason. Maybe because that sofa is still pretty simple in lines?

Those black chairs really made me laugh. They seem like they are made for a cheesy movie villain to me. But in a weird way, I kind of like them…in the right place anyway.

Hi, I’m Christina.

Little Victorian is your place for inspiration, education, and encouragement for how to be your own interior designer and decorator, and how to carry out your big plans yourself too.

It starts with psychology, then artistry, and ends with power tools. None of those are scary, and you really can do it.
