I heard a great quote this weekend.  I love good quotes, but this one was something I wanted to be reminded of often, so I made a quick graphic out of it.

Where the heart is (Little Victorian)

It needs some work (probably even a different photo) but it will do for now.

About the storm…we started preparing last Friday, and we’re feeling about as ready as you could possibly feel for a hurricane.  As of this morning, the eye of the storm is projected to be about 5 miles north of us sometime after midnight.  The winds are picking up and the power has started flickering as I’m typing this.

If we have any news to share (and we still have internet and/or cell connections), we’ll be tweeting.  I have a list of projects to work on that don’t require electricity—which is a definite bright side!  (As long as Sandy doesn’t help us out by giving us more house projects to tackle, that is.)

We are being warned of possible power outages for up to 3 weeks, so the blog may be pretty quiet for a while.  If that’s the case, there should be lots to share after it’s all over.

Take care, everyone!

I truly hope Sandy will not bother you too much and you and everyone around you will not suffer any damages.
    Take care.
I really agree with the quote.

We made it through just fine, thank you! We’ve been very blessed out here.

Hi, I’m Christina.

Little Victorian is your place for inspiration, education, and encouragement for how to be your own interior designer and decorator, and how to carry out your big plans yourself too.

It starts with psychology, then artistry, and ends with power tools. None of those are scary, and you really can do it.
