Undersized urbanite update (January)

Time for a quick update on your progress for the dollhouse contest!

I’m having so much fun watching what all of you are creating.  And some of you are getting it done so fast.  Mine is still gutted.  Actually, it’s even more gutted than the last time I showed you.  I’ll post an update on my progress soon as well.

Houses:

Mama's Minis 1/4 scale and Qs Tudor

Rebecca’s 1/4 scale | Q’s tudor

Can’t get over how tiny Rebecca’s (Mama’s Minis) new house is.  So. Cute.  And I love the Tudor trim on Q’s cottage (she has some really cute stuff going on on the inside too!).

Architectural details:

Lyssa’s dollhouse book nook and Kyle’s egg carton stone wall

Lyssa’s book nook | Kyle’s egg carton stone wall

Lyssa’s book nook is just amazing, I can’t wait to see it filled with teeny-tiny books.  And Kyle had a brilliant idea to cut up egg cartons to make a faux stone facade.  The texture looks perfect.

Accessories:

Linda's dollhouse accessories

Linda’s printed rug and plants

Linda has lots of really cool little projects going on, with instructions too.

Oh, and The Dolls’ House Magazine wrote a very nice little post about the contest yesterday! Read it here.

If you’re participating, how is your project coming along?  Are you happy with it so far?  Think you’ll have enough time to finish?

(If you’d like to see more, all of the participants and their blogs are listed on this page.)

Hi Christina. I think this is my first linky from another blog (yes, you were my first time). Thank you so much for your support. This is fun!

Ha! 🙂 I’m loving all of your projects. And I can’t believe how fast you’re getting it done.

Ack… feels a bit more ‘real’ now… better get to it! Love seeing what we are up to!

Me too! Haven’t even started rebuilding my shell of a dollhouse yet. So much to do.

When it rains it pours. What an electrical pain. So sorry. Dining room you say?? I have the same problem, I start a new project before finishing the last WAY too often. Good luck on all of your projects and take your time, we’re not going anywhere. 😀

I love that someone is doing a 1/4 scale build! Those houses are the best. 🙂 Thanks for featuring my book nook. I am making that thing up as I go, so it’s really great that everyone seems to like it so much. 🙂

Hi, I’m Christina.

Little Victorian is your place for inspiration, education, and encouragement for how to be your own interior designer and decorator, and how to carry out your big plans yourself too.

It starts with psychology, then artistry, and ends with power tools. None of those are scary, and you really can do it.
